THE BENETTON AD
A biography
Some would say that I’m a travel snob, because I have been to more that 15 countries on 4 continents and spent 5 years in an International boarding school in Switzerland with 300 kids from 57 different nationalities. I say, imagine what that does to a person? Unthinkable things like acceptance, adaptability, blindness to race and color, and thirst for diversity. Not to mention total lack of communication blocks.
It was somewhere between steaming Flea’s drenched (in pure, celebrity sweat) onesie while working backstage on a Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert and budgeting a $2.5M ad campaign for the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism, that I knew what I wanted most in life was to just be at the epicenter of excitement and/or manage grandiose projects.
My most unique quality is that I live in the future. I rarely have the patience to sit down and enjoy this thing called “the present”, my mind is always planning the next big thing, and the thing after that and so on, until the end of time. I feel a sense of restlessness when I don’t have a project to work on, or when one has just been completed. I think my clients can definitely capitalize on this peculiarity of mine - just send more projects my way!

So what am I doing here in the U.S. and what brought me all the way from Bulgaria, you might ask? I apologize in advance, I will use a cliché now: I came here for love. Long story short, I fell in love at 21, while in studying in UVA, had to leave when my studies ended, couldn’t find love again, 13 years later I had lunch with the same guy from UVA, we fell back in love, got married and here I am. And now even my family looks like a United Colors of Benetton ad (blended, multi-racial and gorgeous).
